Are you passionate about contributing to efficient and effective operation of the Warwick Saleyards? This job could be for you!

In this role, you will be contributing to the operations of the saleyards in Warwick by doing basic administration tasks as well as general labouring duties where required to effectively assist your team. Due to the nature of some sales, a very important role will be maintaining professional confidentiality and the accurate entry of various records.

 

Term:                         Casual

Pay Level:                 $47.07 to $49.33 per hour (Level 2), plus 25% - 31% Casual Loading, 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading 

In accordance with Council's Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award. Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience. 

Employment Base:  Warwick, Queensland

About the Department

The Asset Management, Spatial & Saleyards Department leads Council’s asset management functions, the spatial Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Council’s Saleyards. This department is pivotal in that it combines technology, data, mapping and strategic support across departments thereby improving decision making, asset management, planning and community services.

  • Input data into the Saleyards computer program;
  • Prepare accounts for the Finance Team; and
  • Retrieve relevant saleyard reports from the computer program.

 

What You Will Need

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • The legal right to live and work in Australia
  • MANDATORY POSITION REQUIREMENTS
    • Immunisation record indicating Q Fever vaccinations or immunity; or the ability to be vaccinated in accordance with Council's Immunisation Procedure
    • Preparedness to work flexible hours outside the scope of normal business hours (e.g. early mornings, evenings and/or Saturday)
  • REQUIRED LICENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
    • ​​​​​​​A Class C (car) licence or greater
  • ​​​​​​​Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with a diverse range of customers
  • Office administration experience, including demonstration of accurate data entry
  • Sound keyboard skills and experience in current office computer programs
  • To be able to demonstrate your competence in relation to all of the Selection Criteria as detailed in the Position Description.
