Council Careers provides a centralized platform for Australian councils, shires, and local government authorities to post vacancies and for candidates to apply.
We are not an employer, recruiter, or agent.
We do not negotiate employment contracts or guarantee hiring outcomes.
All employment agreements are strictly between the Candidate and the respective Council.
Candidates: Must be at least 16 years old and possess the legal right to work in Australia (citizenship, residency, or valid visa). You must provide truthful and accurate information.
Employers: Must be a recognized Australian local government body or authorized authority. All job ads must be lawful, non-discriminatory, and accurate.
The platform may only be used for legitimate recruitment. Users are prohibited from:
Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
Uploading offensive, unlawful, or discriminatory material.
Using the platform for spam or commercial solicitation.
Attempting to breach site security or disrupt service functionality.
Councils and Employers are solely responsible for the content of their listings. Council Careers:
Does not verify the credentials of every candidate or the accuracy of every job post.
Is not responsible for employment decisions, salary negotiations, or workplace conditions.
Reminds all employers to adhere to the Fair Work Act 2009 and relevant state WHS laws.
All branding, design, and content on Council Careers are protected by Australian copyright laws. Users may download materials for personal, non-commercial use related to job seeking or recruitment only.
Council Careers strives for a reliable experience but does not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for:
Technical interruptions or data loss.
Inaccuracies in job advertisements posted by third parties.
Any loss of opportunity or employment outcomes resulting from site use.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
