The role

As an Asset Inspector, you’ll spend your days across the region inspecting Council assets including roads, bridges and public spaces. You’ll identify defects, carry out minor repairs where needed, and capture accurate data to support maintenance and future planning.

You’ll also complete condition assessments, contribute to traffic surveys and follow up on reported issues to ensure works have been completed properly. It’s a hands-on role that combines field work, problem solving and attention to detail, with a strong focus on safety and quality outcomes.

About you

You’ll bring:

• A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to work outdoors

• A good eye for detail and the ability to spot issues before they become bigger problems

• Experience in roads, construction, maintenance or a similar environment

• Confidence using technology to capture information and complete reports

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

• A commitment to safety and doing the job properly
