The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint a Commercial Operations Officer to
join our Commercial Property and Parking team. This is a permanent full-time role, with
the possibility of a part-time job share arrangement for the right applicant. Applicants
must specify their available days and hours of work in their cover letter. You may be
rostered to work weekends and overtime as required. Hours worked outside the scope of
normal hours will attract the following shift loadings
Key responsibilities include:
• Monitor the City’s parking software to ensure faults are addressed before machines
become out of order.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the City’s parking systems.
• Undertake daily maintenance of the City’s parking equipment to keep it at optimum
efficiency.
• Undertake the collection, reconciliation and preparation of a daily summary of cash
and credit card transactions from parking ticket machines.
• Assist in resolving software and hardware issues related to the City’s parking ticket
machines by liaising with the ticket machine suppliers and manufacturers.
• Assist in resolving software issues related to the City’s pay by phone supplier/s.
• Handle customer complaints related to commercial parking issues.
• Undertake audits of parking signs and road markings, report to the Team Leader
Commercial and support the implementation of any authorised changes.
• Assist in issuing recipient created tax invoices for City carparks.
• Provide support to the commercial team when facilitating commercial rent reviews
and undertake CPI rent increases in accordance with City Leases.
• Assist in seeking quotes and liaising with providers to undertake property
valuations in accordance with the City’s procurement policy.
• Contribute to the delivery of commercial projects and initiatives.
• Provide support to the commercial team in the day-to-day management of the
City’s property and parking portfolio.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Outlook,
Edge, with an ability to learn and effectively use in-house software.
• IT and software knowledge/experience.

• Strong literacy (grammar, punctuation, spelling) skills.
• Ability to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
• Valid Western Australian Drivers Licence
