About the Job

There is an exciting opportunity with the Community and Events Team for a Community Development Officer. This position is responsible for providing support to community groups, clubs and community organisations including the effective administration and coordination of the Shire of Esperance Community Grants Program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and administer the Community Grants Program.
  • Maintain and nurture communication channels with the community sector including undertaking effective consultation, producing, and disseminating relevant information and promotional material.
  • Provide support and guidance to community organisations to assist them in achieving their goals.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.  

About you 

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

  • Experience in working with community groups and organisations.
  • Experience in preparing and managing grant submissions and funds.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and networking skills

Benefits

Salary: $73,600.00 per annum

Permanent staff are entitled to:

  • 5 weeks annual leave per year 
  • The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
