Are you passionate about improving community health outcomes? The City of Busselton is excited to recruit for this newly created position within our Public Health  team.

About the role:

You will take the lead in planning, developing, delivering and evaluating the projects and initiatives outlined in the City’s Community Health and Wellbeing Plan.

Your work will be guided by the State Public Health Plan and will help strengthen community resilience, reduce health inequities and enhance the wellbeing of residents through targeted, evidence-based public health initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of projects within the City’s Community Health and Wellbeing Plan.
  • Build strong partnerships and facilitate stakeholder engagement across community groups, government agencies, businesses and internal teams.
  • Support and manage project activities, including procurement, reporting, timelines and quality outcomes.
  • Research, prepare and support grant applications to enable community health initiatives.
  • Create high‑quality communications, reports and health promotion materials to support awareness and engagement.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in community development, health promotion, public or environmental health or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience delivering health promotion, community health or public health programs and projects.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation and building effective partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of social determinants of health and applying them in community-based environments.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work independently, show initiative and collaborate across diverse groups.

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
  • Pre-employment medical (arranged and paid for by the City)
