About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and administrative functions as required by Customs. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team that values collaboration and mutual support, while also enjoying the autonomy to manage your own work.

This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships, and support the operations across Customs’ business units nationwide, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of a variety of tasks that keep our operations running smoothly, including:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Corporate Services team.
  • Assist with purchasing, facilities management, and general office coordination.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with compliance requirements.
  • Support health and safety initiatives and ensure adherence to workplace standard.
  • Oversee uniform ordering, distribution, and accurate record keeping. 
  • Handling of mail and courier services efficiently. 
  • Maintaining and programming physical security system.

This is a permanent full-time position, and the hours of work are between 8.00am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, based at our Mangere facility, with occasional CBD work.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $66,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with other software systems.
  • Resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Previous experience in administration, facilities, or corporate roles is desirable.

  • Be a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident
  • Living in New Zealand at time of application
  • Have resided continuously in New Zealand for the last 5 years*
  • Successful applicants are also required to pass a drug test and have a clear Police record

*If you are a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided in New Zealand for the last 5 years but have been absent from New Zealand for periods of 6-9 months within the past five years, preferably in one or more of the following countries: either Australia, Canada, UK or the USA then you will be required to provide overseas Police certificates for these periods spent outside of New Zealand.
