The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to deliver
high-quality financial accounting, reporting and asset management services, ensuring
statutory compliance and supporting accurate, timely decision-making across the
organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing and coordinating monthly financial reporting, including GL and balance
sheet reconciliations and assist with preparation of the Annual Financial
Statements”
• Managing full-cycle asset accounting, including capitalisation, depreciation,
disposals and revaluations
• Supporting audit, taxation and statutory compliance requirements through accurate
analysis and reporting
To be considered for this position, you will need:
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or business, with CPA/CA (or working
towards) desirable
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and reporting, including
reconciliations and compliance
• Strong attention to detail, systems capability and the ability to work collaboratively
with stakeholders
• Local Government and TechOne experience desirable
