Serve with purpose. Grow through community.

Help people improve their health, fitness and wellbeing through engaging group fitness and aqua aerobics classes. As a Group Fitness Instructor with Blacktown City Council, you lead safe, inclusive programs that encourage people of all ages and fitness levels to stay active, build confidence and achieve their goals.

Working across Council’s aquatic and leisure centres, you demonstrate exercises and techniques, provide modifications for different abilities, monitor participant safety and support people to exercise at a level that suits them. You set up and pack down equipment, start classes on time, provide advice on the benefits of exercise and create a welcoming environment where participants feel comfortable and supported.

Your work helps increase participation in fitness programs and encourages people to stay connected to their local community. By delivering enjoyable, high-quality classes and positive customer experiences, you contribute to healthier, more active communities across Blacktown City.

You work flexible casual hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends, and take part in ongoing training and development to maintain your skills and industry knowledge. This role suits people who are passionate about health and fitness, enjoy motivating others and take pride in helping people build healthier lifestyles through movement.

At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
