What we’re looking for
At least five years’ experience in a multi‑stage arts centre, production company or theatre environment.
Strong expertise in lighting and lighting systems, staging, fly systems and theatre mechanics.
Operational competency across audio, audio‑visual, rigging and general technical production.
Demonstrated creativity in lighting design and the ability to interpret technical plans and client requirements.
Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with a strong understanding of WHS obligations.
Experience with ETC EOS, MA grand or Hog lighting systems, as well as CAD/Vectorworks and lighting visualisation tools.
Rigging certification, LR Class Driver Licence, First Aid/CPR, White Card, EWP (>11m) and Test & Tag certification (or ability to obtain).
Certificate III in Live Production Services and Certificate IV in Lice Production & Technical Services (or ability to obtain)
Strong customer service skills, a positive and team‑focused attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.
What you’ll be doing
Lead all lighting and systems operations across CPAC, MMP and other Cultural Services venues.
Design, interpret and deliver lighting requirements for clients while managing resources and timelines effectively.
Operate and maintain lighting, audio, AV, staging and rigging systems to a high professional standard.
Develop standard lighting rigs and comprehensive technical documentation.
Oversee and deliver maintenance schedules for lighting, systems, staging, fly and rigging equipment.
Supervise casual technicians during bump‑in/out, performances, events and maintenance periods.
Work directly with clients, hirers, tour managers and performers to ensure seamless, safe and high‑quality event delivery.
Maintain backstage areas, support inductions, advise on set electrics, and act as Fire/Chief Warden when required.
