City of Karratha is seeking an enthusiastic Leisure
Duty Manager – Fitness to oversee our Gymnasium
and Group Fitness programs at the Wickham
Recreation Precinct.
About the role:
As the Leisure Duty Manager – Fitness, you’ll be the
driving force behind the day-to-day operation of our
gym and group fitness programs. You’ll act as the
first point of contact for patrons, lead a talented
fitness team, and ensure programs are engaging,
safe, and aligned with industry trends.
You’ll balance hands-on fitness leadership with
strategic planning, marketing, staff development, and
KPI delivery—perfect for someone who thrives both
on the gym floor and behind the scenes.

What you'll bring:
• Certificate III in Fitness Instruction and/or
Group Fitness
• Strong knowledge of gym and group fitness
operations
• Experience in program coordination,
marketing, and promotions
• Proven leadership and staff supervision skills
• Excellent communication, organisation, and
time-management abilities
• Confidence using POS systems, online
bookings, and reporting tools
• A proactive, people-focused approach to
fitness and customer service
• (Further fitness qualifications are highly
desirable)
