Title: Manager, Building Assets - Planning, Design & Delivery, TRP Contract - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Total Remuneration Package:
Starting salary $186,982.40 per annum, with capacity to increase to $217,305.15* subject to skills, experience and performance, plus option for leaseback vehicle or novated lease.

*Salary may increase in line with the Local Government Award increase. Salary step progression is performance‑based.

The Building Assets Team sits withing Council’s Property, Buildings and Beach Services Business Unit and oversees the renewal of Council’s building assets as informed by Council’s Asset Management Plan. The team works with a range of internal and external customers to deliver high quality buildings that are energy efficient and durable meeting the needs of the Northern Beaches residents and visitors.

Our opportunity

The key focus areas of the role are:

1. Provide strategic leadership to staff, fostering a motivated and productive team environment to ensure responsive and trusted service delivery.
2. Oversee the planning, design, delivery and renewal of building assets to ensure they remain safe, sustainable, compliant and fit‑for‑purpose throughout their lifecycle.
3. Oversee the preparation, delivery and monitoring of operational and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with long‑term financial plans, optimising investment in building assets, and driving best‑practice asset management.

You’re a positive, solutions‑focused leader with strong experience in asset management and project delivery. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively and bring a customer‑centric approach to delivering practical, high‑quality outcomes. Confident and adaptable, you guide others effectively and enjoy tackling complex issues to ensure community buildings are safe, functional and built to last.
