About the Role

An outstanding opportunity exists for a qualified Pool Operator, or a motivated individual willing to undertake training, to join our team at the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre.

The Pool Operator liaises with the Aquatic Supervisor to monitor and maintain all daily aspects of the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre aquatic area and ensures all programs and services are delivered in a safe, inclusive environment while providing an excellent customer experience at the Centre.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintaining pool water chemistry, plant and equipment in accordance with protocols, procedures and legislative requirements. 
• Perform Lifeguard duties ensuring an adequate level of supervision is maintained in the aquatic area.
• Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to the patrons of the Centre.

This is a Full Time/Part-time or Casual position, working over a 7 day roster, including out of office hours. 

 About You

Training is available for the right applicant, if qualifications are not held once training is completed, a 12-month commitment is required. Early departure may result in repayment of training costs.

To thrive and be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current qualifications and accreditation as Aquatic Technical Operator, Chlorine Gas accreditation, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus accreditation, LIWA accreditation
• Provide First Aid qualification
• Pool Lifeguard qualification
• Working With Children Check
• Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills

Benefits

Hourly Rate for Permanent Staff:  $35.77 - $37.24

Hourly Rate for Casual Staff: $37.35 - $39.69
