The Role

In this leadership role, your focus will be to proactively seek and support investment opportunities within the region and build strong relationships with stakeholders, developers, and landowners.

You will:

  • Identify, pursue, and facilitate investment opportunities to attract new businesses and developments to the Greater Bendigo region and grow existing industry
  • Support local businesses in their expansion efforts, including identifying and leveraging export opportunities to enhance their market reach and competitiveness
  • Manage and coordinate strategies, promotional material and initiatives advocating Bendigo’s competitive advantages and industry strengths that make Greater Bendigo an ideal destination to do business and invest
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, developers, landholders, and industry leaders, to support investment and economic growth

About You

To be successful in role you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience of one or more of economic development, business development, business engagement, industry development, strategic planning or business
  • A strong understanding of economic development trends, concepts, issues and opportunities, and the role of Government in economic development
  • Proven ability to create effective and productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the organisations objectives
  • Highly developed analytical, investigative, research and interpretative skills
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation and negotiation skills demonstrated in a commercial outcome context

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
