He angitūtanga: The opportunity
The Senior Risk Advisor plays a key role in strengthening risk management across Group Shared Services (GSS). This is a Line 1 risk role, providing expert advice on implementing and embedding business risk management approaches, supported by robust analysis to assess risk exposure and control effectiveness. Working in partnership with department risk champions and the Line 2 risk team, the role ensures risks are proactively identified, effectively managed, and clearly reported to enable sound oversight and confident decision-making.

You'll bring strong analytical capability, sound judgement, and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights. As a strong communicator you'll engage confidently with senior leaders, facilitate productive discussions, and influence effective risk management practices. Your ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, coupled with a solid understanding of governance and risk frameworks, will be key to driving a proactive and mature risk culture across GSS.
