About the Job
Are you passionate about preserving and protecting the Esperance area and the community? Do you enjoy working with animals and being out in the natural environment? The Shire of Esperance has an exciting opportunity for a Ranger to join our team.
The role involves enforcement of relevant legislation and Council policies in the areas of animal control, litter control, camping control, fire hazard reduction and relevant Local Laws. The successful applicant will also liaise with the community, responding to safety concerns quickly and efficiently.
Knowledge and understanding of the legislation relevant to Ranger Services as well as experience with animal handling techniques, effective communication and public relation skills are required.
This is a full-time position, working a minimum 38 hours per week.
Benefits
Salary Range: $86,351.00 - $92,317.00 per annum (not including overtime), depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
