The Role

Our Statutory Planning team is seeking two current town planning students who are about to commence their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of their undergraduate degree or undertaking a post-graduate degree to join our multidisciplinary team of development specialists.

You will be learning and implementing the assessment and processing of planning permit applications under the Planning and Environment Act and Greater Bendigo Planning Scheme.

This will include carrying out associated administrative tasks and developing and enacting effective communication with permit applicants and other stakeholders in the planning process.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will be a current town planning (or similar) student, with good communication, time management and computer skills and keen to learn more about statutory planning in a council.

We have 2 positions available, with flexibility on which day of the week is worked:

  • one position is 2 days per week from February/March 2026 to December 2026
  • one position is 1 day a week from February/March 2026 to December 2026

A drivers licence and satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
