We are seeking applications to fill the role of Truck Driver within the Works section. This position requires a Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence, with experience, for road construction and maintenance activities.
The Truck Driver will primarily be operating the truck and trailer for the transport of materials and equipment, however, will also operate the water cart as directed by the Supervisor or Overseer.
About the position:
This position plays an important role in supporting Council’s construction works and the ongoing maintenance of our unsealed road network. The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a water truck across a variety of worksites while actively participating in the maintenance and construction of Council infrastructure throughout the shire. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery, including carrying out daily pre‑start checks such as six‑point inspections to ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use.

The gross fortnightly wage for this position is $2,813.56 including Construction Allowance.
